A Platform for Embedded Social Interactions is the Sequel to FlockPod

Pune, September 15, 2008: Harbinger Knowledge Products today unveiled TeemingPod, a platform for embedded social interactions. TeemingPod is the sequel to FlockPod, Harbinger's earlier product for building on-the-spot social interactions. TeemingPod includes all the features of FlockPod, and adds flexibility as well as new features which help build powerful social interactions.

With TeemingPod's powerful search feature, users can search for content inside a specific activity or across activities in a pod. Search results provide convenient jump-off points to get directly into the activity where search content is found.

Self-Service Admin Tool Helps Users Manage Subscriptions: Free Version Continues for Small Groups

FlockPod, the world’s first social interaction pod - a small place on any Web page where people get together and interact on-the-spot, while staying on the page, is now out of Beta and available for general use. FlockPod will now be available as a subscription service, announced Harbinger Knowledge Products, the company that created the product. Organizations can set up and manage their own subscriptions which will enable their employees, partners and customers to interact in unique ways using FlockPod. However, users can set up their own FlockPod’s for free if they expect to have limited members in the group.

Considering the crying need for content moderation in user-generated content, the FlockPod software now allows Administrators and Pod Managers a variety of privileges for deleting, archiving and blocking at source unwanted content. This keeps the social collaboration spaces clean and free of unwanted clutter.

FlockPod has also announced support for single sign-on, making it convenient for users to switch pods easily, once a user is “on FlockPod”. To be “on FlockPod”, a person signs in using a FlockPod account, which is completely free.

“We are excited to bring the benefits of self-service administration and content moderation to large user groups, who need to do the heavy lifting with FlockPod. FlockPod opens out simple code for embedding social interactions in web pages: Unveils multiple new interactions to boost contextual informal learning
